Hello, my name is Victor Yves. I'm a Brazilian-born, Toronto-based graphic designer and art director, and I've spent over 15 years working across global brands.

Since 2022, I've been Head of Art at Publicis Canada, where I've had the privilege of leading multidisciplinary teams on design systems and campaigns for clients such as VISA, Heineken, Jeep, National Geographic, Uber, and WhatsApp.

I grew up in Arapiraca, a small city in Brazil's Northeast—often compared to Texas, only hotter—where I began designing websites with my father and developed an early interest in visual systems, typography, and the internet as a creative space.

After earning a degree in Graphic Design in Maceió and specializing in Art Direction at Miami Ad School São Paulo, my career took me through boutique studios and global agencies including F/Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi, AlmapBBDO, FCB, Accenture Interactive, and later Publicis Toronto. Throughout this journey, I've had the opportunity to collaborate with talented teams across different cultures and disciplines.

Today, my practice remains focused on graphic design and art direction—building clear, thoughtful visual systems that help brands communicate with relevance and purpose.

CASCA Archive

Alongside my commercial work, I launched CASCA Archive (casca-archive.org), an independent graphic design research project dedicated to documenting and preserving the visual culture of Brazil's Northeast. The initiative explores vernacular graphic design—such as posters, cordel literature, woodcuts, and street typography—bridging research, design, and cultural memory.
